There were these two guys, Dav and Jon who were very close in friendship. They grow up together. Study together. Eat one another. I mean Eat together. The close knitted friendship has brought jealousy to many. People are just so envied of them.


One day, Dav and Jon went for mountain climbing. And along the way, as typical as they are, both of them nattered without stopping all the way through.


They laughed along the trip. As usual, Dav and Jon were just enjoying their companionship one way or another.


Out of sudden, while they were excitedly climbing up the rocky hill, they heard a loud wild roar from behind. Filled with much curiosity, Dav and Jon turned to the back to have a check. To their surprise, they noticed a wild bear appeared behind them and staring to their direction.


Trembled with sudden fear and uneasiness, both of them decided to flee from the scene immediately. However, Dav's left leg was actually injured due to the exhausting walk and the poor stamina. Knowing himself that he's unable to move or run conveniently, he thought that Jon would help to carry him.


It was at this moment, Dav noticed Jon was squatting down and tying his shoelace tightly and quickly.


Dav felt peculiar and asked Jon,"What are you doing, Jon? You know the bear will going to outrun us and kill us because we are obviously trapped in this narrow hillside. No way out. Worst to say, i couldn't sprint at high speed due to my leg's condition."


Jon replied: "Yes i know the bear will outrun us. But as long i can outrun you, i will still have the chance to escape and survive."


Dav was stunted for a moment and he responded with much disappointment,"I thought a true friend never flee ...."


Jon went wordless by then.

Every trust, hope, long built friendship, closeness has been ruined at that instant.
