Water Baptism

To all drivers, please be more vigilant and extra careful when you are on your way to the parking lot and even if you are starting up your car engine. Make sure you lock your car door first before you proceed on.

Just few days ago, my friend's mum was robbed inside of the car! The robber entered from the other side of the door with a knife and snatched the handbag and ran like a leopard. Sickening.

Hint: Bring a toy gun wherever you go. It helps.

Last Sunday was Easter Sunday. It's such a significant occasion to all Christians where believers gather as one in their own denominations' churches to commemorate the resurrection of Christ. On the afternoon itself, there was a Water Baptism at Kampung Senggok. 45 minutes car ride from Kuching.

As it is written in the Book of Matthew Chapter 3.

The Baptism of Jesus
13Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"

15Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.

16As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

1 Peter 3:21

"... and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ."

I remember MY own baptism.

I couldn't attend the kid's session, so I had to get baptized with the adults instead.

But my baptism doesn't involve a river lar. Just water pouring past the forehead and Father Aeries making the sign of the cross on my forehead.
