Hunting for Orang Utan -Semenggoh-

Short-talk:

Do you know that Unimas has a Bowling Centre? Cool ! Rm3 per game for student. That is freakingly cheap! Furthermore, there will be a snooker room add in too! How cool is that!

How about Swinburne??? Hmm..

---------------------------------------------

And it was a Sunday afternoon. Usually i will have my leadership training at this hour, however "there's always a season of relaxation" for this time round. Thank God! A jaunt to Semmengoh.

Semmengoh, here we go! 20 minutes ride from Kuching.

And reached. It was clearly shown and pronounced as Semenggoh. Not Semenggok okay. For those who never been here before, you can find Orang Utan here. Yeap, that was my intent for this trip -Hunting for breathing Orang Utan-.

Down the sloppy hill song.

The first signboard that barely caught my attention.

Orang Utan's territory. Sssshhhhh...quiet.... Hunting Mission began!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Surrounded by trees.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Huh!!! "Beware of Dead?" Am i bringing myself to a dead path? Maybe this is how they attract tourists through fearsome signboard. Please Orang Utan don't kidnap me......

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This seemed more like jungle hiking le...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Strolling steadily on the path as required.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Surprise surprise.. What were they watching? Any Orang Utan?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Nothing le ... Mana Orang Utan. Keep searching. And got it! (picture below)

There were only three Orang Utan that I have found hanging on the trees. The grandpa with the name Ritchie. Seriously, it's his name. Ritchie ohh Ritchie...

The Food

There was one guy by the name of Charles Darwin came out with an evolutionary theory that indicated men were evolved from monkeys. Gosshh... I would never want to imagine or never want my ancestors to look like one either.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Such a horrible look...

Resting under a shelter before we heading towards abother station.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Take a look at what have i captured

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It is known as (direct translation from mandarin) "Pig Dragon Grass". Zhu Lung Chao.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Buaya Katak ? Odd.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Poor and unaccompanied animal. Probably it used to be a frog, and was then struck by lightning and evolved into a buaya besar... Okay, lame.

And there was another funny signboard that did grasp my attention.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Hmm... Emergency assembly point. What if we are attacked by Orang Utan, do we need to gather there again?

On my left.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And on my right.

*** BoooMMMM ***

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And there you have the throng again. Everyone was busying taking pictures of ........**drum rollss** ....... ??? Hornbill??

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

No! It's not a statue. Another Orang Utan spotted again! Heap heap hooray!! What to do, I have never seen Orang Utan in such distance bah... However, this Orang Utan was kinda unique in the sense that it had no camera shy like me at all compared to Ritchie. Don't believe me?

Watch these.

This Orang Utan was certainly get thrilled when it came to camwhoring. Even i was badly defeated by its boldness. **clap clap**

Still manage to hark back to the evolutionary theory that i have refered to just now. Perhaps, I might never know it's valid until I have stumbled upon the last signboard before my departure. (picture below)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

**giggle** Phew... how blessed am i that my name is not printed below those pictures. Don't stone me if your name appears on it k.

Family photo.

You cant find me in there. Reason: While all of them were gleefully posing in front, I was one of the dumped voluntary sacrificial photographer behind the scene. Pity Johnson.

Big group **shake head**. At least there was a bunch of student leaders that willing to contain me in the next snapshot.
