Eight Below

short-talk:

My computer is back! Revived! Thanks to Shawn. It's purified. It's remedied. When i scanned my pendrive with the newly installed Avira anti virus, 7 Trojans were detected springing around in my pendrive. **phew**

Kudos to Avira, the red umbrella... Ella ella... eh eh under my umbrella..la la la...

--------------------------------------------------

Lets put assignments and stresses at one side, right at the far end of the corner. Take a deep deep breathe, relax your mind and lets right now focus our utter attention on movie!

Movie movie ohh movie... Ever since i'm so busy with my endless assignments, watching movie has gradually swayed away from my daily agenda. How sad it is to live a student life without movies right?

Thank God that on my last Youth Cell group of meet up, we had a slightly more relaxing programme. Movie Night!

Finally! **relieve**

If you haven't watched "Eight Below", i do recommend you to watch it either alone or with your peeps. Movie that you won't regret of watching. Who knows you might even credit me after watching it. *grin*

Personally, when it comes to my own preference for movie, I would opt for movies that are based on true story, inspiring and motivating narration rather than investing my cherished time in the wrong and wasteful movie.

Obvious example: Meet the Spartans. Worst of all time! Gishh..

Eight Below.

Why Eight Below? Initially i thought the movie is only permitted for those who are below 8 to watch. Cartoon? Nah... It's actually referred to the Eight huskies live in Antarctica and why below? Ermm.. duno eh..

And the sentence in the poster above said it all, The most amazing story of survival, friendship and adventure ever told.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I found this short plot somewhere on net.

"Inspired by a true story, "Eight Below" is an exciting action-adventure about loyalty and the bonds of friendship set in the extreme wilderness of Antarctica.

The film tells the story of three members of a scientific expedition: Jerry Shepard (Paul Walker), his best friend, Cooper
(Jason Biggs), and a rugged American geologist (Bruce Greenwood), who are forced to leave behind their team of beloved sled dogs due to a sudden accident and perilous weather conditions in Antarctica.

During the harsh, Antarctic winter, the dogs must struggle for
survival alone in the intense frozen wilderness for over 6 months."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Worth watching indeed! Those huskies are truly cute and cool-looking of cause, but beyond the outward appearance, i am deeply inspired and moved by the characters and qualities inhered in life of those huskies.

How each of the huskies take up greater responsibility when the owner is not around for a long period. When the winter attacks. When there is no more food. When the temperature is getting colder and colder and colder...

Perseverance. Team work. Obedience. Endurance. Encouragement. Friendship. Sacrificial spirit. Every single extraordinary quality lies in those huskies. It's truly amazing.

Reckoning to what i have watched, I have learned much. I believe my care group members have also captured some examples. Comparing of what i am going through in life with those huskies', it's just incomparable.

The deep and solid bonds of friendship is tested during afflictions and trials. How the simple word 'Friendship' and 'Teamwork' actually play such significant roles during difficulties and endurance. I learned.

If God can use His creation, huskies to inspire us and even behave in such manners, setting the right example for us, what more to say we, human?

Many times we tend to complain and grumble a lot when we don't receive the things that we yearn for. And we fail to realize that we actually have the things we need. We give up easily in our struggles and trials. We never even tried to persevere a little bit more. We never thought of putting a little more effort and hang on. If only we do that, the end result will definitely be in satisfaction. But we failed. We fail to help and offer a little aid to our friends who are in need and lack of support. We are cocky in our action and behavior when we know other people are not as good as us. We show no respect to our leaders.

Thinking and reflecting upon each line, we seriously do have countless of weaknesses and mistakes to be dealt with. I learned.

Bucked up! Don't give up!

Do watch if you have a chance. Spread the news!

Comments:

ya....it really a nice movie...
Touching movie...u can learn a lot of thing from there
loyalty, faithful, teamwork, respect the leader and others!
dogs can do such things, why we cant! dont complain our life haha

My Com

short-talk:

Final battle!

-------------------------------------------

Perhaps i should say it is absolutely well timed that my computer dies down at this period. I don't know how and why does it happen. I need my computer in order to complete my assignments! **yell**

I regretted of not installing any Anti Virus in my Pc and backing up my important files at the first place. Such shilly-shally attitude. See la Johnson, what happen? Kenak attacked by virusesssssss... happy?

Haiz...

My assignments.... My important documents...

Think positively, Johnson. Everything works with its own purpose behind. Focus my eyes and mind at the bright side would be much better. Knowing that maybe God knows that i has been invested too much time of my precious on net doing those unnecessary stuffs. I mean CHATTING k.

Did not maximize the quantity time that i have. Now, with His timing, He allows my computer to die down at this instant and forces me to invest my time appropriately in my study with the bo pien-ness spirit. ERggh....

Good point! =)

Okay, i should give thanks instead. Don't complain. Don't complain.

2 more weeks to go before entering into the FINAL battle field. Scary. Traumatic. Stressful. Exciting!

A total of 11 more assignments to complete. 1 more test to go. 1 more quiz to go. This 2-weeks of voyage will surely not going to be easy, i believe. No computer. One temptation has been triumphed over.

Till then, chao!

Computer, i miss you. LOL!

Comments:

Hahaha. Kolian...
No Computer.
No Chatting.
No surfing.
Yet so many assignments.
And final is coming...
Good Good.

thumb UP!!!

When he says he's not.

short-talk:

Goodness. Without forewarning and without any sound of alarm bells, my computer dies down just like that.

Haiz...

---------------------------------------------

I know most of my peeps and blog readers are curious and would love to find out who's that tnt that keep popping out in my chat box consistently.

An unknown who has been faithfully following through my updates. Kudos kudos for its silent pretense.

It was about one month ago that i checked my chat box ip, wondering what ip address did TnT use. For those who don't know, every connection will receive an IP address whenever it's connected to each network. There is no way that a line receives the same IP address with the other different connection.

Photobucket

It shows 124.82.23.102 right? Little to my attention, i was a little shock to find out that Soon Eng actually used the same IP address that TnT was using. Hmm ..... Weird eh... Impossible my eyes are partially blind right.

To make things more exciting, i ter-stumble upon this thingy,

Photobucket

Soon Eng, i never know that you are putting on a false front to be TnT in my chat box. Hmm...

Until yesterday that i purposely asked Soon Eng whether he has ever used TnT as a nick to chat in my chat box. To the unexpected reply and great certitude, he told me "what for he wants to use and act as TnT".

Two to three times for asking and reconfirming, Soon Eng declared that he never used TnT as a nick. Hmm....

Contradicting? Yea....

Don't tell me TnT lives in the same house with Soon Eng. And unanticipatedly, his siblings act as TnT to chat in my chat box. Hmm....

I assume my chat box won't display false IP right?

Photobucket

Either Soon Eng is telling a white lie to cover up his tail or it's so happened that he accidentally lives in same house as TnT. Hmm ..

By the way, who cares when it shows through IP address. LOL!

What say you, Soon Eng a.k.a Ezekiel?

Comments:

GOSH!!!!!!! Mystery revealed. Is Soon Eng ur classmate? And more so, is Soon Eng a guy? But ezekiel is a girl?? Gosh...confusing, confusing...CONFUSING!!! Anyway bro, I know of ppl who can have split personality and that is a psychological disorder...better pray hard for ur dear friend Soon Eng. He might have liked u so much....beware... :S

to everyone for little clarifications.

This post is not to condemn anyone neither to Soon Eng too. It's just just an assumption of what i think.

Just to jump straight to what is to be pointed out which is, if Ezekiel aka Soon Eng did use the nick "TnT" to chat in my chat box, then u know i know.

Cos' what i believe is that if the IP address shows the same for both chatters, definitely this will cause some doubts to everyone right. Logic right.

Since Soon Eng have said that he did not use the nick TNT although it's the SAME IP address, i cannot keep on accusing that's him. He has his right.

To Soon Eng, i apologize if this post does bring some misunderstandings. After all like what i have mentioned before, this is what i "assume" cos' the IP shows the same. Logically thinking, if you are in my position, you will also think like that right.

No worries, i'm not blaming you or anyone else.

Cheers bro! =) *wink*

On the contrary,

To that whoever authentic TnT is and keep appearing silently in my blog, please la... stop becoming so so childish and immature in posting such immature comments in the chat box. You have your own life to live, and stop stalking other ppl lives. Simple as that.

In short, go and get a life. NOt trying to be rude here, but just be CONSIDERATE as least.

hope you, Mr, Ms TnT will understand. Period.

Ah.. U see, Melvin might play a very very big role here.

Reason number one, he's a good debater - in this case, good enough to be a lawyer for any side of the story.

Reason number two, he's always neutral, potential judge.

Tell the world and please please take note that Johnson is no longer available anymore, So paiseh la ho girls.

I have just found my other half a week ago! *grin*

It has been a long wait. When everyone is desperately wanting to have one, i'm also desperately yearning for one too. The moment that i have been waiting for has finally arrived!

She's just so gorgeous, beautiful, appealing, attractive and suuuiiiiiii ......... I'm gonna introduce her to all of you. So better be grateful k. =P

Photobucket

I'm currently on Cloud 9 mode.

A few months back, my mum told me that she will buy me a new car. Gosshh.. New Car?? Mum, you must be kidding me!! Everything went dumbstruck. I just couldn't accept it. Overwhelming, as i could describe. I never really expect and ready myself to receive such gift from my parents.

When my fancy became my aspiration and my aspiration became my actuality. No words to describe how i feel.

Photobucket

The key

It all happened on last Saturday when mum, bro, two friends and I went to fetch back my new soul mate. I'm just so excited and overjoyed. Frankly, I believe when this happening occurs on you, you will surely be in the same super duper happy mood that i'm experiencing.

Now you can personally watch the "ceremony". After my mum has signed the" agreement" on behalf of me, there's the removal of the veil.

Photobucket

Bringing back my parents' daugther-in-law.

Photobucket

hehe.. :)

Like what i have said earlier on, everything is beyond description. I have nothing much to say, I just couldn't stop being so obliged to receive such gift from my parents. I'm not ready. It's no doubt the Biggest gift that i have ever received in my entire life. I'm utterly thankful.

I'm gonna take good care of her. Thanks Mum & Dad. =)

Behold!

Photobucket

Call her Ozzy Orange Myvi

Just for your information, this Ozzy Orange is the last color to be found Kuching. And after doing some computer checking, the salesman has double confirmed that this Ozzy Orange myvi that i'm purchasing is the last one in Malaysia!!! Cool. The salesman told us that Perodua company will not going to release any Ozzy Orange, Mocha Grey and Apple Green anymore.

I'm so blessed to get this last one at the right time.

Somehow i just adore and be fond of this color compares to other colors. Ozzy Orange. Indeed it's just unique and suit what i prefer the most. As long as it complements with what i plump for, I'm in much satisfaction.

Once again.

The Need

short-talk:

I have just received my 3rd Nuffnang cheque. *grin* Such an easy way to earn another Rm50. Kudos to Nuffnang!

---------------------------------------------

**Latest update from Johnson**

My daily schedule has unwantedly become so packed and crammed with much of unfinished assignments and exams. It's now week 11 and the majority of the Degree students are currently being squeezed and stretched crazily to the greatest extent.

4 more weeks to survive before entering into the final battlefield. For all that, there are still 5 to 7 assignments yet to be completed by me. Cham! Dead meat. Die die must do.

Reckoning back, I realized that I have not involved myself in any physical activities and sports for the past few months. That's bad! Being criticized constructively by my sportive peeps, I have made up my mind to once again regain my sportsmanship. =)

It was last Sunday that I forced my body to shirk my afternoon nap and drag both my legs to play badminton. Initially, it was really uncomfortable to play since it has been quite some time that i last touched my racket.

Anyway.

I played for just 2 hours and my muscles started to ache badly on the next day. It hurts even until today. My stamina has slacken off drastically. I need to revitalize it back. Passion. I need energy! I want to be healthy! I want to have long life. =p

Photobucket

Build up.

The stamina. The self-discipline. And the breakthrough!

Kueh Chap @ Poh Kwong Park

short-talk:

The sudden cyclone attack right at the center heart of Myanmar has definitely caused a great lost to the nation. Up to date, there are approximately more than 25,000 lives have perished and 30,000 lives are yet to be found.

It's saddening. It's like Tsunami, when history repeats itself again.

Prayer is much needed right now.

----------------------------------------------------

I couldn't recall back whether i have blogged about this entry, but still nothing can stop me when it comes to F-O-O-D!!! It's just so tempting! **drooling** It has been quite some time since i last blogged about Food. There....fore..... here I am, sitting right in front of the keyboard, fingers down and start typing ---- Kueh Chap!

The unspoken beauty of Kueh Chap. The veiled fascination of Kueh Chap. You gonna love it!

I always yearn for a chance to taste nice and eatable Kueh Chap in Kuching, but frankly not much stalls have dished up quality Kueh Chap. Up to now, i believe i have tasted the most appetizing Kueh Chap of all. Of cause, it's based in agreement with my own tongue. So, don't stone me if you disagree with me arr....LOL!

Photobucket

Kueh Chap!! yum yum!!

Located at Poh Kwong Park, near Green Road. The stall is situated behind the Poh Kwong Park shop lots. A kinda quiet and unfrequented area that is scarcely known by many, yet the hidden and super duper nice Kueh Chap in Kuching can be found there!

It's just so so so different compared to all of the Kueh Chap sold in Kuching. Somehow this version of Kueh Chap does successfully entice me back in those years. I just like it!

Many have rated that the one near Sekama serves good and tasty Kueh Chap, but Johnson disagrees!!! I have found one that i believe can loftily triumph over Sekama's Kueh Chap with much ease. **evil laugh** The difference is quite hard to put in words, you just got to sample it yourself. The gravy is nice and a bit sweet. Perhaps it's because of the sugary taste that has allured many customers. hmm... good tactic, tauke.

Usually, Kueh Chap serves with exclusively porks right? Those intestine, pork stomach, ears, pork tongue and other yucky stuffs. But for this Poh Kwong Park's Keuh Chap, the tauke is quick-witted and smart enough to yank out those kuchingites-will-not-eat "decorations" and replace them with chicken feet~~~ Smart move! =P

Who knows the tauke's intention is to reach out to those non-halal eaters too! LOL!

This dip tastes rather special in the sense that it's both spicy and sweet at the same time. Weird taste but perfect mixture!

Dribbling?? My stomach is growling badly now as i'm typing this post.

Mr. Ericotic vs. Mr Eric

short-talk:

I'm attending a training course is related to Audio and Media for these few days. It's different compared to our local training, cause for this time round we manage to get the Singapore Team to train us in this area. I mean, professional and experience! Wow!

Gonna brush up my knowledge and understanding towards this course. I'm excited!

-----------------------------------------------

It's Week 9 now! **Trembling** 5 more weeks to go prior to the actual final! It's scary! The Final Exam schedule has already posted up in the Blackboard for the students. And this helps in adding more uneasiness and fear to the students. In the wrong way of cause!! Erggh!!!

Please don't tick so fast, Mr Clock!

As the End Time is approaching, many of us are still baffled with assignments and exams. Struggling in tidying up our workloads. It's hectic and mad. Help! H.E.L.P!

Just a few weeks back, I encountered this rather a funny scenario. Things that Robotic Engineers do and Civil Engineers reinvent and remanufacture it. Some random pictures that i have taken from it.

Trust me, you gonna love these!

Lego

This is what Robotic students are required to do in their syllabus. Playing and fixing Lego.
According to Keith, they need to somehow somewhere some some .. assemble those Lego together and construct a motorcar. Very keng de.

Kinda fun yea. It will be even keng-er when those Lego fall into the hand of Civil students and then you will see and soon realize how brilliant we are when it comes to creativity, artistry and originality in building. =p

Try to visualize what it is.

Car tires? Nope! These are actually barbells!! Wondering what barbells actually are?

For illustration purpose only.

Barbells are actually those thingy used for weightlifting. Big tires and small tires. Creative ka? Not so?

Check this out!

Photobucket

That's not my fingers. It's Aldrin's. Yea, trying to maximize his fingers and be like a weightlifter and jerk those barbells. Siao.... -__-"

However, due to the limitation that our fingers have, therefore we, Civil Students have come out with a more crazy and brainy idea to solve this unwanted problem. Spontaneously spontaneous.

What will Civil Students build then?

A ROBOT, of cause!

Preparing for weightlifting.

Getting ready to lift up the barbell. This is a cool and macho looking robot with the given name, Mr. Ericotic. Simply because Eric, the inventor, is the one and only one that has this weird diea of creating such robot. So, bo pien and paiseh lo Eric. Cheers!

Mr. Ericotic is perfectly well-trained and is greatly and highly filled with much potential when it comes to weightlifting. 20 times Olympic champion!! Sap sap water! =) Although Mr Ericotic might appear to be as skinny and undernourished as Eric himself, yet never underestimate of its capability and ability.

Research has proven that Mr. Eric, i mean Mr. Ericotic has hidden vigor and unlimited stamina compared to Mr. Eric himself. =)

Photobucket

Way to go, Mr. Ericotic!

In real life, Mr. Ericotic can jerk a 250 kg barbell with pride. But And Mr. Eric can only carry 2.5kg with both hands. Tsk tsk ....

Okay okay. Better stop adding more spark into this story line. Please don't stone me, Ericotic, I mean Eric. Lol!

Eric, i'm just trying to promote you and your blog in a slightly more insidious way. So, be 10% more grateful yea. Hehe. My bad!

Is that supposed to attract more of my attention to your blog, or attract more attention from your blog onto me?

Hahaha.

At least I can move around normally with weights attached to my limbs, unlike someone. =p
