Memorable Farewell

Just within this week, i attended 3 of my friends' farewell, Jonathan, Brenda and Gregory. Everyone is flying off. Deserting me alone in this small and little-known city, Kuching. And it leads me to a song composed by Akon,

**Lonely, i am so lonely.. i have nobody for my own... Owh....I am so lonely**

Okay, stop blabbing Johnson.

Jonathan

Leaving to Curtin University, make sure you pronounce it accurately, it's Curtin not Curtain.. Majoring in Chemical Engineering.

Celebrated his adieu on Monday at BDC restaurant.

Yea, you have spotted the signboard hanging up high there and it stated there, RESTAURANT. Don't tremble. Restaurant's business only starts at 6.00pm. It was still sunny.

Take note, the price of the food was reasonable. Neither too cheap nor over-pricey. I payed RM 4.00 for my Curry Noodle. And here's my serve.

**Warning, the following pictures might contain strong and irresistible temptation to those food addicts. Please don't lick your monitor screen k. I repeat again, feel free to lick your monitor screen.**

Worthwhile right.. no more complain. It looked more like Sarawak Laksa than Curry Noodle itself.

It was so ...... oh man ... The smoothness and softness of the noodles, the big fresh meaty prawn plus the flavoursome reddish gravy ... caused my mouth and tongue to get blazed !! It was so SPICY !! Super-duper spicy ba !!! 10% delicious and 90% spicy.

This has definitely brought me back to my past torturing endurance in Taipei 101.

Struggling and perseverance ....

Finished !!! With the help of one cup of guava juice + one cup of cold water. A million thanks to you, Mr. Water. Instead of naming it Curry Noodle, I think it should be appropriate to name it as Burning Noodle. For those who never get burnt before, do give your tongue a try.

Okay, sight tracking already. Come back.

A simple gift of appreciation for Jonathan. Don't ask me what is inside.

Group picture!!

**Say Cheese**

Whenever i am in BDC, two things that cannot resist me are conquering BDC's RM 1.20 Ice-Bun and playing pool. However, Ice-cream machine spoilt that day. Never mind, i still have a game of pool to play!

Complexed arrangement with some mathematical equation by our geek.

The kick off of the match by me ! Never expected that the audience who stood behind of me to support me fully was a Grandma.

I played with some luck, but he played with some physic's calculation.

Brenda & Gregory

Brenda. Currently safely landed in the land of Merlion, Singapore. Taking up Business Course in NTUS, Nanyang Technology University of Singapore. Aiseh, don't play play le.. World's Top 10 Universities. Only 20 Malaysians are opted to enter in this university.

Another vigorous sanguine buddy of mine! We are just completely addicted in talking, babbling and laughing. I will definitely miss your laughter and giggling much.

When we are abnormal, we look like this ... (picture below)

And when we are normal, we look like this ... (picture below)

Farewell held on Monday night for Brenda and Greg.

Fruits are good for digestion. Definitely. I wonder why food and drinks play such important and unforgettable role in every farewell. Hmm ....

**Yum Seng **

**Prayer of blessing.**

Gregory accepted Christ on that very night too. Yuhu... Billions of angels dancing and rejoicing in Heaven for sure!

Will be missing you guys heaps.

" Every single farewell is definitely a downcast party to be involved in. But it certainly open doors for our leaving friends to begin a new chapter in their lives and grow more in maturity at the same time which undeniably gives us the contentment and joy. "

A chance to lead ...

Being a game master is definitely an thrilling task to be in charge of, but figuring out the games to be played would plainly be a headache probably not to everyone, but to me!

One month ago,

I was given an errand which was leading an one-hour game that involved 30 plus plus lodgians in a Students' camp. Anyhow, I have been trying my best to work out with some interesting and youthful ideas for the game throughout the weeks, and I was almost cracked!

teng teng teng...

Actual day, which was yesterday (Saturday)..

Show time! I packed up early in the morning 10.30am and was escorted by Melvin to start of our sweet voyage to Santubong beach. Envy le..

Travel travel and travel...

30 minutes of drive..... What was I doing in the car? Sleep? No man! I was still thinking of the game... This is not a last-minute hero thingy okay, i am just wanting to give my best shot for my task..such responsible game master ba.

After a long and tiring run..!! And Melvin and I finally reached.....

I have no idea why and how did both of us ended up in Kampung Santubong and not Santubong beach ~

Anyway, we made a U-turn back and finally...

Reached our destination. By the way, I have no idea why they want to add (Kuching) on the sign board. It is like 33km away from Kuching City...

Kinda peaceful and breezy.

Me and Melvin decided to tour around in the lobby while waiting for the students. Walk and walk until we bumped into something curious. Take a look.

Oh man! How odd is that. I never knew that Bintulu and Betong are originated from Santubong resort. Hmm... Without wasting anytime, both of us headed towards the beach to prepare our games. One thing that i dislike was the distance between the resort and the beach. It swallowed our 10 minutes of walking just to reach the beach! Kisi-nya.. Haven even started our game, 20% of our dynamism has dissolved into sweat.

Views from the seaside.

I won't complain much about that because I'm pretty satisfied with these scenery already. Although it might not filled with blue-ish sea, at least it's grey-ish enough than those teh-c-peng water.

Set up with my equipments.

4.00pm sharp! Everything started ! **Attention Students!!**

I divided them into 4 groups and they named their own group "Banana, Dragon Fruit, Apple and Mango". Don't laugh. I was kinda nimble-witted enough to bring something to quieten them.

Teng teng.. SLASH HAMMER !! Don't you think i look like Triple H by holding that slash hammer?

These lodgians were certainly more boisterous than the monkeys in the right way. Leading a bunch of impaired hearing's students are so knotty if you don't know how to control them. Nonetheless, Johnson is still Johnson. They started to listen to my commands when i used my scheme, which was none other than telling some jokes. Seriously, sometimes cold jokes or lames jokes do attract one's attention. Trust me! It works tremendously! How involving and active are they? You will know later.

**Whistle blew** Peeeeep peeeep...

First game! --Crab-crawling + Scooping sea water...

**Crawl crawl.. Chiong aarrr**

Even girls i also wanna torture them. **Evil laugh**

Scooping sea water with both hands might seem to be an easy task, no kick man. But pouring the water into the glass botol through the tiny neck might be ....... **Evil laugh again**

**Wah.. seems like my game has turned into an Olympic Running.**

Moving on..

Second game! -- Blind people feed banana.

Interesting interesting. When you got to see those blindfolded players walk, you can't help but keep laughing... HA HA HA...

Oppss... Cock eyes??

Third game--Dip one of your hands into a bucket filled with cold ice to grab the right stone.

**Paiseh, no photos for this. **

After one hour...

I was completely exhausted and thirsty!! Yearning desperately for water... don't ask me to drink sea water ok.

And i started to realize that plain water is actually very tasty and appetizing. However, I had no idea how did these lodgians manage to retain their energy after those tiring games. Probably banana does provide extra zeal for human. hmm.. i wonder..

Bury bury ..

I did enjoy myself there, even in just organizing some games for them. I could see that they did enjoy themselve. My relationship with them are strengthen. Praise God.

Tittle-tattle:

--Things to thank God for: On the journey to Santubong, it did rain heavily and Melvin & I prayed earnestly for the rain to stop when we lead the games. And God answered! He not only stopped the rain, He covered the Sun with thick clouds. If not, i will become a roasted chicken after one hour under the blazing sun.

--Deep condolence to Giwen whose father has been with the Lord this early morning. God bless and provides peace to your family. "When one part of the body suffers, the whole parts suffer together.."

Hit The Mark !!

Awesome !! Enjoy reading.

We just celebrated our Hope of God Kuching 15th anniversary on Sunday morning. Hip hip hooray.. !! Great great! I woke up quite early, around 6++ am, just to get myself prepared for the worship practice. And this morning was sightly different. Why? Because I makan breakfast!! **applause applause** Okay, I was giving my body sufficient strength to sustain for the whole service.. I value my tummy a lot ba.

Reached SUPP hall around 7:35 am. Some of the performers did their self-preparation while others were busying entertaining themselves with their own schedule. I set up my guitar properly on stage, make sure that when i jumped and there will be no "Kit Kiak Kok Kiak" sound and the guitar string won't break during the session of playing. And it didn't !! WOW.. **Applause to the firm strings Applause**

I was 5% nervous and 95% excited !!

Along the rehearsal, I mean Before the rehearsal, something went out off our plan, which was POWER FAILURE !!!! Ergghhh... Black-out !!! It occurred around 8.15am. Not at this time ~~~~ Our worship team waited patiently together along with the other performers too. No electric supply, so only left the only survivor which was my little mini acoustic guitar managed to survive. And we did an unplugged practice on stage. Pretty cool though !

More visitors....

**Please be aware that the photos are not taken by me with my Pro-fes-sion-nal skills. Some are from Brenda's. So don't blame if it's not in a good effect.

9.15am --Pastor Denis led in heart preparation.

More and more visitors...

9.30am --- Showtime !!

It started off with some traditional dancing and flag swinging.

After that, moving on to the "Mouth archery". Haha.. this was so funny. The balloons that have hung up high were over fragile until those wooden arrows yea, arrowsss... bounced backward when it supposed to burst the balloons~~. Haha.. probably next time we should use **cough cough gun**. Hmm...

Practice makes perfect !

Moving on !! Praise and Worship !!! Which was led by Joshua and the team. I can't find the P&W video at the moment, will upload it if i've found one. This the only picture i have with me.

Cool and impactful !!! Everyone rushed to the front. Hmm... Mostly were the youths, what to do. We, 25 years old and below can run faster ba..hehe..

Moving on, Testimony shared by Jhung Ee and Sue Ee

Preaching..Pastor Simon, founder of Hope Kuching together with the translator, Bro. Kilat.

Pastor Simon shared "Moving Forward" which is embodied of 4 M.

1) Maturing of the Church
2) Mission Thrust of the Church
3) Ministry of the Church
4) Management of the Church

Then, leaders and pastors gathered on stage for the cake-cutting.

1, 2, 3... BLOW !!!

Happy birthday to you,

Happy birthday to you,

Happy birthday to Hope Kuching,

Happy birthday to Yoouuuuu....

That was not the end yet.... Not forgetting our Closing dance ceremony !! Present to you by our MAD GEN.

**No video at the moment, will upload it once when i've the code. Wait wait..."Patience is a virtue."

!!! Thumbs up !!!

Encouragement by Pastor Simon.

Indeed, 15 years ago, it all started with 5 people. Pastor Simon + Sis Lai Eng, Pastor Denis, Jhung Ee and Sue Ee. Planting a seed church is never an easy job.

Matthew 16:18 ".....and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it."

I have been joining Hope Church for 6 1/2 years. Seeing how many lives grow in maturity. People join and people leave. But the most significant thing is seeing how the Great Commission touches different lives.

15 years ago, with 5 people. After 15 years which is today itself. It grows up to more than 500 people !! Glory be unto Him. 500 people are more than just names and attendance. It is definitely lives that has been touched and transformed by Him. I will continue to grow in both my character and my spiritual life. Hope my youthful life would able to impact myriad lives for Him.

"Having the faith in God assuredly and Keeping the faith in God firmly."

I always hark back to what Pastor Denis and Pastor Simon has shared which encourages me a lot.

Pastor Denis:" All of us have only ONE life to live on earth. Let's live to the fullest that we can for God. No regret while looking back and be one of God's history makers in this generation."

Pastor Simon:" Life is certainly more than just earning money, being successful in career and etc. God has definitely places each and everyone of you something GREATER than these things. Put your life in a worthwhile vision."

To all my Swinburne's friends that joined this celebration, hope you do enjoy yourself and thanks for coming. your presence do make a difference in the atmosphere.

You guys are great !

I can't find the rest of the guys. No idea where were they. So paiseh le. No snap shot of your faces.

Glad to be part of this Big Family
